Continues to Influence the Asian-American Community

 

White Plains, NY, August 16, 2021 – Abrams Fensterman, LLP is proud to announce that Mark C. Fang, Esq. has joined the firm as Of Counsel and as a member of the appellate, civil litigation, municipal, and labor and employment law practice groups. Mr. Fang brings more than 25 years of experience practicing law and actively serves as a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York. He will continue to serve as an advocate for the Asian-American community at Abrams Fensterman, LLP’s White Plains office.

 

Mr. Fang is an experienced and practical litigator representing clients in a wide range of industries such as business, insurance, real estate, and labor and employment disputes. He has held a variety of distinguished positions over his career practicing law including Assistant Attorney General of the State of New York, Assistant District Attorney of Westchester County, and Counsel to the Consumer Affairs Committee of the New York City Council. Mr. Fang is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the United States Army Reserve and a veteran of the nation’s War on Terrorism.

 

From 2016 to 2017, Mr. Fang was the Director of the Westchester County Department of Consumer Protection, managing a staff of inspectors and investigators in the enforcement and compliance of state and county consumer protection laws, and the county’s home improvement contractor licensing program. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2016, Mr. Fang was the Executive Director of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, where he led the countywide government agency responsible for the enforcement and administration of the county’s Human Rights Law and Fair Housing Law. In recognition of his expertise in employment and human rights laws, and in addition to his law practice, Mr. Fang was named Executive Director of the Office of Human Rights and Affirmative Action of the City of Yonkers – a position he maintains today.
