Abrams Fensterman, LLP Wins Defense Verdict in Kings County Supreme Court

Widjaja vs. Campitiello, et ano. was tried at Kings County Supreme Court before the Hon. Peter Sweeney at which time our attorney represented defendant JGC Heating & Plumbing, the owner of a commercial van being driven by defendant Gerard Campitiello which was insured by Allstate Insurance Company.

The lawsuit arose from a motor vehicle/pedestrian accident which took place when the plaintiff-pedestrian Jujun Widjaja, a female in her late 50’s, was crossing Broadway in Astoria, Queens at mid-block when she was struck by the van sustaining injuries.

Following the taking of testimony from both the pedestrian, who testified with the assistance of an Indonesian language interpreter, and the vehicle operator at a trial conducted under the COVID-19 protocols in place in the Brooklyn courthouse, the jury returned a verdict exonerating the van driver thereby attributing 100% of fault for the incident against the pedestrian.

The defendant was represented by Abrams Fensterman, LLP partner Mark A. Longo.
