Nicole A. Murphy

Nicole A. Murphy is an Associate in the Employment Law and Litigation Group at Abrams Fensterman, LLP in the firm’s Long Island Office.

Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, Ms. Murphy has over fifteen years of experience in the practice of labor and employment law, representing employers, municipalities and school districts.  She has represented and advised clients on a broad range of labor and employment matters, such as negotiating collective bargaining agreements, litigating contract grievances, litigating improper practice charges filed with the National Labor Relations Board or the Public Employees Relations Board, litigating discrimination and harassment claims both in state and federal court, as well as before administrative agencies.  Ms. Murphy has also represented union members and leaders regarding their rights pursuant to collective bargaining agreements and represented members in disciplinary hearings in accordance with New York State Civil Service Law. Ms. Murphy has also represented clients in criminal and family court proceedings.

Ms. Murphy started her career as a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict.

Ms. Murphy earned her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School and her B.A from Rollins College.

Ms. Murphy is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the Eastern District of New York.  She is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
