Corey Weisfeld earned his undergraduate degree at Binghamton University and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. At Brooklyn Law School, he took an interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution by joining the ADR Honor Society as well as serving as the Competition Chair of Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment Law Society. In this role, he collaborated with ADRHS to create and host Brooklyn Law School’s first ever interscholastic ADRHS negotiation competition (centered around negotiating contracts in a fictional universe for college, professional, and retired athletes). In addition to this, Mr. Weisfeld is also published on Brooklyn Law School’s Sports & Entertainment Law Blog for his article titled “The International Informal Contractual Agreement and its Future with MLB.” After his publication, he became the Sports Section Editor for the blog.

During Mr. Weisfeld’s last semester, he was a Clinic Intern for BLIP (Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy), where he reviewed contracts, assisted in a memorandum, and researched methods for college athletes to self-tokenize and create a crowd sourced scholarship. He also researched and wrote memorandum on FTC and FDA restrictions on CBD advertising, as well as researched and assisted in a memorandum regarding IP protection for the College Cuber, a company specializing in sports art.

Last summer, Mr. Weisfeld interned at Wade Clark Mulcahy as a Summer Associate where he drafted various litigation papers and further learned about the stages of litigation. In addition to this, he also was a research assistant to Professor Mark Conrad, Director of Fordham University’s Gabelli Sports Business Concentration. In this role, Mr. Weisfeld conducted research for, edited, and cite checked an article titled “Betting on Addiction Money: Can Sports Betting Advertising be Restricted on the Broadcast Media in an age of Heightened Commercial Speech Protection?” This article is published on Harvard Law School’s Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law.

All these experiences culminated in Mr. Weisfeld’s interest in Labor and Employment Law. He earned skills in advising small business owners/startup companies while apart of BLIP, learned all about the ins and outs of contract law, and maintained his litigation skills through his experience with Wade Clark Mulcahy. Mr. Weisfeld is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
