Denise Buda is Of Counsel in the Medical Malpractice Defense department at Abrams Fensterman, LLP.
Ms. Buda has 32 years experience defending physicians and other health care providers in a wide range of litigation matters. She is responsible for defending physicians in all the medical malpractice defense cases of the firm. In addition, Ms. Buda also represents health care professionals in professional misconduct, license restoration, and moral character proceedings before the New York State Education Department, Office of Professional Discipline; conducting hearings, preparing appellate briefs and arguing appeals challenging physician license revocations. Ms. Buda also has extensive experience in general appellate practice, complex matrimonial matters, and in general negligence, commercial, product liability and real estate litigation.
Ms. Buda received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar and her B.A. from the City University of New York at Queens College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She is a member of the New York bar. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Buda worked as a Speech Pathologist and taught alternative communication skills at the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults.
