Gerard (Gerry) Ahearn is an Associate at the firm of Abrams Fensterman, LLP. Mr. Ahearn focuses his practice on the area of Nursing Home Litigation including Reimbursement and Recovery claims.
Prior to joining Abrams, Fensterman, Mr. Ahearn worked for “Big 4” accounting firms specializing in State and Local Taxation (SALT) in the fields of Asset Management and Sales and Use tax. Prior to that, he worked at a boutique law firm in Melville, NY that specialized in Personal Injury, No Fault Compensation, and Consumer Rights and Protection. While In law school, Mr. Ahearn interned with the Honorable James Hudson, with a boutique tax controversy firm in Melville, NY, and with the Suffolk County Attorney’s office.
Mr. Ahearn earned his J.D. degree from the Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he received a CALI Award of Excellence for Advanced Persuasion in legal writing. He received his B.A. in Film and Animation from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
Mr. Ahearn is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association.
