Meghan R. Buckwalter is a Partner at Abrams Fensterman, LLP.
Ms. Buckwalter practices exclusively in the areas of matrimonial and family law. After graduating from New York Law School, Ms. Buckwalter joined a boutique matrimonial and family law firm. She then became the Managing Attorney of the matrimonial department at a large New York City Firm. Immediately prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, LLP, Ms. Buckwalter was a senior associate handling complex matrimonial litigation at a boutique matrimonial firm in Westchester.
Ms. Buckwalter earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she was the president of the Immigration Law Student Association from 2008-2009 and a student advocate with the NYLS Domestic Violence Project/Courtroom Advocates Project. Ms. Buckwalter also graduated magna cum laude from Long Island University where she received an Academic Excellence Award in her major and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society.
Ms. Buckwalter has been annually recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in the Area of Family Law since 2016. Each year, no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
Ms. Buckwalter is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association Family Law Committee and New York County Lawyers Association.
