Susan L. Carney is an Associate and a member of the firm’s Elder Law and Estate Planning Group working out of the Lake Success office. Susan focuses her practice on elder law, estate and special needs planning, estate and trust administration and guardianship. She drafts advance directives, including trusts, last wills and testaments, health care proxies and powers of attorney designed to meet the specific needs of clients. In addition, Ms. Carney represents clients in a variety of capacities in Article 81 guardianship proceedings. Her experience also includes representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust and estate litigation. Her knowledge and experience enable her to counsel and guide clients and their families through elder law issues.
Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from New York University where she graduated cum laude. She received her law degree from St. John’s University School of Law where she was a member of St. John’s Law Review.
Ms. Carney is admitted to practice in the State of New York and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.
