We are a vibrant, growing, and fast-paced full-service law firm, and we’re looking to expand our talented team by adding a Legal Assistant with 3+ years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.

Position Summary

 

The Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support to partners, associates, and department staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, take accurate messages, and ensure timely routing and follow-up with appropriate urgency.
  • Maintain and manage detailed calendars in Outlook, including scheduling and coordinating internal and external meetings.
  • Prepare and type letters, retainer agreements, and legal documents as needed.
  • Handle a variety of administrative tasks, including organizing conference calls and meetings, managing paper and electronic files, and assisting with photocopying, scanning, and printing.
  • Draft, edit, format, and proofread letters, memos, and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Compose routine correspondence and emails.
  • Request conflict checks, open new client matters, and manage electronic approval submissions.
  • Enter attorney time into the billing system accurately and timely.
  • Support the team with other projects and responsibilities as needed.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of administrative experience in a law firm is required.
  • Litigation experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive, dependable, and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills; able to work collaboratively across all levels of staff.

 

This role is based in our White Plains office and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment with opportunities for growth.

 

Salary Range: $55k-$75k
