Our Lake Success office is seeking a dynamic Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join our distinguished and expanding Trusts & Estates Department. This team handles a wide array of estate planning, elder law, probate and administration matters, and litigation. The ideal candidate is ready to contribute meaningfully while developing their own practice in a collaborative, client-centered environment.
About the Role
This role focuses on comprehensive estate administration and litigation including contested probate, accounting proceedings, and guardianship litigation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with and be mentored by seasoned litigators with deep Surrogate’s Court and appellate experience.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- 5+ years of experience in estate litigation, contested probate, or related Surrogate’s Court matters
- Familiarity with estate administration, fiduciary accounting, and guardianship proceedings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Motivated, self-directed, and a collaborative team player
- Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook
- A small book of business is welcomed but not required
Location: Lake Success, NY
Salary Range: $140,000–$175,000 (commensurate with experience)
