Abrams Fensterman, LLP is thrilled to announce the addition of Julia L. Santo as an Associate Attorney to the firm’s Elder Law and Estate Planning practice groups at the Long Island office. Julia’s extensive knowledge and passion for Elder Law align seamlessly with the firm’s mission to provide dedicated and compassionate legal services to individuals and families in need.
Julia’s practice focuses on Medicaid planning, crafting personalized estate plans, managing estate administration and probate proceedings, and navigating guardianship matters. Her dedication to Elder Law is deeply rooted in her early experiences at the Babylon Beach House, an assisted living facility where she developed meaningful connections with residents. This experience continues to shape her approach as a kind and devoted advocate for her clients.
Prior to joining Abrams Fensterman, Julia served as the managing attorney for a boutique elder law and trust and estates firm in New York City. She holds a Juris Doctorate from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and graduated cum laude from Binghamton University. During her time at Hofstra, Julia distinguished herself as the Head Research Editor for the American College of Trust and Estates Law Journal, contributing to high-level legal scholarship in trusts and estates law.
Julia is admitted to practice law in New York State and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the New York State Bar Association, where she serves as Vice Co-Chair of both the Sponsorship Committee of the Elder Law & Special Needs Section and the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Trust and Estates Law Section. She is also a member of the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Julia’s exceptional legal work has been recognized by her peers, earning her the title of “Rising Star” in New York Elder Law by Super Lawyers in 2024—an honor given to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state.
