- Hon. Jeffrey A. Cohen, Appellate Division, Second Department (Ret.), Of Counsel, has significantly impacted the legal and civic communities with his extensive judicial experience, including his tenure as Associate Justice of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department. Justice Cohen’s ongoing commitment to public service is reflected in his work at Abrams Fensterman, where he provides invaluable insights in government strategy, political and election law, and appellate matters. - David Imamura, Partner & Co-Chair of the Political and Election Law Practice Group, has been instrumental in defending voting rights and shaping electoral processes. As Co-Chair of the firm’s Political and Election Law Practice Group, Mr. Imamura has garnered significant recognition for his groundbreaking work in Voting Rights cases. He led the first-ever lawsuits under the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of New York targeting election systems in the Towns of Mount Pleasant and Newburgh that allegedly diluted the voting power of minority communities, and His experience in election law, campaign finance, and voting rights continues to drive critical legal actions in defense of fair representation. Mr. Imamura was also named to City & State’s Asian Power 100 list, and his dedication to public service continues to make a lasting impact on the Hudson Valley and beyond.
